Maurice Kirya is set to hold in first ever grand concert in September 2010 in Uganda, Ultimate Media can reveal

This comes after Maurice Kirya suspended his monthly shows at Club Rouge dubbed the “Maurice Kirya Experience” for about three months on May 25th 2010 when he had his last show ahead of the grand concert.

Maurice Kirya reveals on his website www.mauricekiryaexperience.com that this did not go down well with the ardent fans of the monthly event but he thinks the grand concert will be a good consolation for those that miss the concert.

He says the reason why he is going to do this production is to show the world that Uganda is capable of making musical productions that befit the best standards of musical productions on the world stage.

He is yet to confirm where he will have the event taking place and he has not yet resolved how much revelers will have to pay to attend the concert.

Maurice Kirya is musician who though may be greatly talented has not enjoy the popularity that a musician of his caliber deserves to enjoy partly because he has stuck to the classical style of music and even developed brand of his own music which he calls “mwoyo”. His best ever album “Misubawa” is a carefully crafted collection of songs with sounds like “Boda Boda” and a host of others.

Only a few Ugandans have managed to appreciate the 25 year old musician’s music but the few that appreciate it are almost spell bound to the music.
