Uganda’s junior team leaves for Canada

Noses Kibet on track

Uganda’s former World Cross Country Junior Bronze medalist, Moses Kibet will lead the country’s team to the World Junior Athletics championships due in Moncton, Canada starting on Monday.

The Ugandan side leaves for Canada this Saturday. Other members on the team are Joseph Kibet, 2000m steeplechase runner Jacob Araptany, Abdullah Muhammad, and 1500m runner Alex Cherop.

The Ugandan team has already received its visas from the Canadian High Commission in Nairobi. The Secretary of Uganda’s athletics federation, Beatrice Ayikoru says they are in final arrangements for the journey. Ayikoru says they have already booked air tickets for the athletics.
