Bermuda crashed to a 74 run defeat at the hands of Uganda in their third game of the World Cricket League Division Two tournament today and were left ruing the under performance of their key players Jason Anderson (38) and Lionel Cann (44).

Uganda had lost their previous two games and relegation to Division 111 was fast staring at them and today’s win will be a huge relief for the Uganda cricket team and Ugandan cricket fans.

Uganda came into the game on the back of a thumping 205 run defeat at the hands of Namibia at the same venue, but a fine unbeaten 66 from wicketkeeper Laurence Sematimba helped the East African nation to clinch a sweet victory against highly rated Bermuda.

Uganda Cricket Coach Conrad Shukri was ecstatic about the win saying it had given the Ugandans confidence to play better in the completion. Shukri had dropped Akbar Baig and appointed Davis Arinaitwe as Team Uganda captain ahead of today’s ICC Divison II League game against Bermuda.
