Amama Mbabazi hands over to Muruli Mukasa as Minister of Security

The prime minister of Uganda who has been the minister of security Amama Mbabazi has officially handed over security ministry’s office to his successor Mululi Mukasa this morning.

While at the function Mbabazi said that he was not surprised by the appointment since his predecessor was in the ministry earlier.

He says that security ministry is only taken over by those who have the confidence of the appointing authority.

He says that Muliri’s appointment clearly shows that the authority had confidence in him that he can handle security well.

Mbabazi however called upon the incoming minister to look for the ways of handling information since government relies much on the information from the ministry of security. He says that the methods of communication should be modernized for efficiency saying that as the prime minister he is ready to work with the ministry in order to overcome security threats.

Meanwhile, the incoming minister for security after receiving the instruments of power, pledged to work with the people of Uganda in order to overcome the challenges of security threats.  He said that with combined efforts Uganda will be a free country and no security threat will scare Ugandans.
