Museveni honours FDC women leaders with medals

President Museveni has honoured women leaders of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) with medals. The FDC women leaders whom Museveni honoured with medals include Kampala Woman MP, Nabilah Sempala, Salaam Musumba, FDC secretary general, Alice Alaso and Betty Amongi.

The function took place at Nakasongola district headquarters where Uganda marked the International Women’s Day celebrations. Museveni said that the FDC women leaders were rewarded for their contribution towards the women’s movement In Uganda.

Museveni said that the FDC women leaders work well with NRM women leaders such as First Lady Janet Museveni, the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, former vice president, Dr Specioza Wandera Kazibwe, state minister for water, Betty Bigombe, state minister for fisheries, Ruth Nankabirwa and Margaret Baba Diri.

Museveni says that women like Alaso and Musumba are in FDC but they are good friends of NRM and statehouse.
