Artists ask for better terms

Andrew Benon KibuukaPerforming artists have asked all media houses to consider paying for their products in a bid to facilitate development of local talents. This comes at the time when local artists are still asking Uganda Communications Communication to avail them 70% of airtime on all local air waves.

Speaking to media, Andrew Benon Kibuuka, the chairman of Federation of Performing Arts said that all media houses must develop a culture of paying for local content if they are to expect quality content. He explained that many artists can’t produce quality work due to inadequate funds, therefore even the end user must play their part.
