Dairy authority to extend ban on loose milk transportation

Dairy Development Authority is to extend the ban of transporting loose milk to upcountry areas as a measure of selling unprocessed milk which could be harmful to the consumer. In 2014  DDA banned the transportation of loose milk especially in Jerry cans they could easily be contaminated  by germs because of being unprocessed.

The Acting Manager of Dairy Development Authority Musa Kabula says though the ban of selling loose milk was first implemented last year in only Municipalities it has greatly contributed to the improvement of the quality of the milk but they will extend the ban to some parts in upcountry districts.
