Bobi Wine remanded till 30th August 2018

Singer Bobi Wine’s freedom has been short lived after her was re-arrested in Gulu. The singer was remanded until 30th August 2018 when he will be appearing in court together with the others who were arrested. Bobi Wine will also be battling treason charges over the stoning of the presidential car during the eve of the Arua municipality by election.

Bobi Wine who had been held by the military for charges of treason among others was set free by the court martial siting in Gulu but was immediately re-arrested  by the police as he stepped out of court martial.

The Chairman of court martial Lt. Gen. Andrew Oguti, set Bobi Wine free on three accounts with include that being charged in an army court would be an injustice to the accused, secondly that he(Bobi) should be charged in civilian court with other suspects and finally he noted that Bobi Wine has been set free unless he is charged with other charges.

Bobi Wine was immediately rearrested by the Gulu police as stepped out of the court martial. He has been taken to Gulu majestry court where is going to be charged with his fellow MPs  and other civilians who are currently being charged with treason.

This however gives hope to his lawyers a that he will be able to released on bail to get medical attention.
