Makerere MasterCard Scholarship program is back

Mastercard had suspended its work with the ivory tower a year ago following a series of sexual harassment scandals that were reported at the Varsity.

MasterCard Foundation has decided to give another chance to the less advantaged students of Uganda.

 The program will resume its operations in February 2019 with over 400 beneficiaries of free education at Makerere University.

“We are delighted to inform you that MasterCard Foundation will be offering 450 Scholarships to undergraduate students to study at Makerere University for the academic year 2019/2020,” Buteera said.

Applications for the program will be received starting in February.

Female applicant should have obtained 11 points and above, while their male counterparts should have obtained 15 points and above.
