10 ways to avoid bloating

 

This week we decided to bring to you much of the information you may need to avoid bloating.

The first thing to do is to eat a diet high in fiber, also drink plenty of fluids and do exercises regularly, if you suspect that you have an allergy or intolerance to food  you may stop eating it.

Don’t eat quickly. Your meals should last for at least 30 minutes and one should avoid chewing gum as it can lead to swallowing air which can cause bloating.

Avoid consuming too many artificially sweetened foods, stay away from highly processed foods, because they tend to be high in sodium and low in fibre.

You may go slowly on foods like beans, broccoli and cauliflower as they can cause that gassy feeling, instead of 3big meals per day, try eating smaller meals more often, and the fizz in carbonated drinks can cause gas to get trapped in our bellies. American studies suggest that peppermint tea, ginger, pineapple and parsley may help to reduce bloat.
