A man in Masaka district has today chopped off the head of a seven year old child.

This regretful incident took place in Kalundankenke village, Lwabenge sub county, Masaka.

The Deputy CID for Masaka district, Stephen Etyanga and the LCIII chairperson for Lwabenge Sub County, Joseph Lubega confirm the murder.

CID Etyanga says the motive of the murder is not yet known.

He however identifies the suspected murder as Wilson Bbale, a relative to the slain boy.

The slain boy has also been identified as Mze Tebasulwa, a primary two pupil of Kijaguzo Primary School in Lwabenge, Masaka.

Etyanga says Wilson Bbale is detained at Masaka district police headquarters as investigations continue.
