Makerere University students’ leaders will demonstrate on Thursday this week to show their dissatisfaction with the way the new Vice Chancellor of Makerere University; Prof. Venansiuos Baryamureba has conducted guild elections.

This follows the resignation of the guild legal advisor, John Kabumba from the tribunal that was set up to solve the ongoing complaints over why they university called off guild elections and declared an NRM candidate in the race as the winner.

Makerere University LC 5 councilor, Bernard Luyiga says they have already written to police and the administration over the demonstration and do not expect any interference.
