Mulago Hospital Director explains cleaners strike

The Executive Director of Mulago National Referral Hospital, Dr. Edward Ddumba has explained the cause of cleaners strike going on at the hospital.

Ddumba says there have been delays in payment of cleaners because they have to rely on the quarterly releases from the ministry of finance.

 The Director however says the cleaners will be paid as soon as the hospital receives money from the Ministry of Finance.

He adds that Norema Cleaning Services, the company that will replace striking cleaners starts work on April 1st.
