Olara refuses to honour police summons

The President of Uganda People’s Congress,  Olara Otunnu has vowed not to appear before Police detectives over remarks allegedly made against President Museveni.

It is said that while addressing UPC members in Lira district on Monday, Dr. Olara Otunnu accused state house officials including President M7 of aiding LRA rebels to terrorize the north.

Though not yet officially summoned, Police have since then expressed interest in quizzing Dr. Otunnu for clarity on the matter.

While addressing the media today at the party’s headquarters in Kampala, Dr. Otunnu vowed not to go to the CID for interrogation, saying he’s innocent.
