Democratic Party denies producing weak leaders

The Democratic Party (DP) has today dismissed claims that it produces weak party leaders.

This oldest party (1954) in Uganda says during his recent countrywide mobilization tour, president Museveni alluded to the fact that funds for the development of Gulu district were mismanaged with Mao as chairman.

Museveni says DP has weak leaders

Addressing journalists in Kampala, the party’s Deputy Publicity Secretary, Kenneth Paul Kakande said the claims by Museveni are baseless noting that the party has zero tolerance to corruption.

Kakande further dismisses claims by President Museveni that the party groomed weak leaders.

While in Gulu district, President Museveni also promised to give the district a big political post if the people there voted for NRM in the 2011 general elections.

He appreciated Gulu Norbert Mao for recognizing the achievements of the NRM government in the district.
