Two people have been confirmed dead after a boat accident that has occurred on lake Victoria in Mayuge.
The Mayuge district police commander Nazarious Mugisha has identified the dead as Aramanzani Kisira and one Brown both residents of Iganga district.
He says the duo met their death when a heavy wind blew the boat they were traveling in near Namugongo landing site in Malongo sub-county.
The DPC says the deceased’s bodies have been recovered and taken to the hospital mortuary, while some other people who were on the boat have also been rescued.
