Uganda, Rwanda combines to fight livestock diseases

The two governments of Uganda and Rwanda have joined hands to fight livestock diseases.

Veterinary officers from Rwanda and Uganda made the decision on behalf of their respective governments on Monday at Uganda –Rwanda boarder.

The two countries have agreed to share live stock information and to have common vaccination programs against animal diseases.

The Director General of Rwanda Animal Resources Development Authority, Dr. Theogene Rutagwenda says the two countries want to curb cross boarder animal diseases.

He says veterinary doctors from both Rwanda and Uganda will regularly hold
meetings of veterinary officers from both countries to find solutions to animal diseases.
