Supreme Court dismisses Sitenda’s petition with costs

Supreme Court has dismissed with costs the electoral petition filed by NRM Sitenda Sebalu challenging the election victory of FDC cadre, Sam Njuba as Kyadondo East constituency Member of Parliament.

The five justices of the Supreme Court led by Lady justice Kisakye Mayambala upheld the lower court decision’s that dismisses Sebalu’s grounds contention.

Sebalu dragged Njuba and electoral commission to court in May 2006 accusing them of rigging votes at Kireka B, St.Stephen polling station which he says could have affected the election results. Njuba beat Sebalu by a margin of 23 votes.
