Police warns politicians who are trouble makers

The Inspector General of Police, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura has warned politicians and other leaders who are trouble makers that the law would not spare them if they dare disrupt 2011 general elections.

He says police will arrest whoever will come out to disorganize 2011 polls irrespective of his or status in society.

Kayihura says police wants a peaceful Uganda before and after the polls. He says the force doesn’t want Uganda with people full of mischief. He was addressing journalists today in Kampala.

Kayihura also instructed police to arrest careless drivers and impound all vehicles that are not road worthy, saying Uganda afford senseless road accidents.

He also vows to arrest corrupt police and other government officials.
