Global Fund project donates $20m to fight HIV/AIDS in Uganda

Ugandans to benefit from Global fund

The Global Fund has released 20 miliion US dollars to Uganda to be used in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The money has a come at a time when Uganda is experiencing increased cases of new infections.

In Uganda over 300,000 people are in need of ARVs which they are unable to access.

The director general Uganda AIDS Commission, Dr Kihumuro Appuli tells journalists that the funds will help thousands of HIV/ AIDS patients’ access ARVs.

Kihumuro says the said money is already in Uganda awaiting.
