After addressing a big rally in Seeta trading centre in Mukono district, Mao brought business in the area to a standstill.

Mao thanked the people of Mukono for supporting DP. He urged them not to feel intimidated but move in large numbers on Tuesday May 25 to vote the party’s candidate in Mukono North by elections, Betty Nambooze.

He also urged them to demand for better electoral commission capable of conducting free and fair elections. Mao says he does not fear President Museveni’s intimidation because the President is not a ‘god.’ The LC5 chairperson says Uganda can develop without Museveni.

Mao says DP is on its way to change Museveni’s government. He says Museveni persuaded him so many times to join NRM government and he refused. Mao says DP wants to use non-violent means to address Ugandans and finally take over state power.
