African political parties’ conference opens in Kampala

The four day African political parties’ conference has been opened today at the Commonwealth Resort in Munyonyo, Kampala.

The meeting has attracted participants from nine African states such as Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The first session of the meeting was chaired by the President General of the Democratic Party, Norbert Mao

This conference, the first of its kind in Uganda is organized by the Netherlands Institute of Multiparty Democracy.
The meeting has been attended by over 80 participants including members of National Resistance Movement, Forum for Democratic Change, Uganda Peoples Congress, JEEMA and the Conservative Party among others.
