The latest Police report released recently indicated that incidents of suspected ritual murders increased from 25 cases in 2008 to 29 cases in 2009. Out of the 29 cases 15 were juveniles while 14 were adults.

Kyampisi Child Care Ministries, in partnership with Jubilee Campaign UK are planning to spearhead a campaign at the New Wine Christian conference in July 2010 to lobby for international support to end the vice.

Pastor Peter Sewakiryanga explains that the conference will also be graced by the Arch Bishop of Uganda, Rev. Henry Luke Orombi among others.

He explains that documentary showing the negative impact of child sacrifice in the country will also be premiered at the conference.
