Museveni says Uganda to get a uniform education structure, improve agriculture

The president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has indicated that the  government will set up a uniform education structure in the country to help reduce the problem of unemployment, improve the literacy levels in the country and improve access to education.

While reacting to the budget speech read by Uganda Finance minister Syda Bbumba today at Kampala Serena Hotel, the president indicated that every Uganda Sub County will have a secondary school and a technical institute for every district by the year 2014.

The president also indicated that the 2010/11 Uganda budget will also help improve value addition through the setting up of agricultural processing industries at every sub county.

The president says the development will help improve rural farmers income and reduce the problem of unemployment in the country.

He says the government will invest money to ensure that every subcounty gets an agricultural processing unit like a rice hauler, milk cooler, oil extractor, maize miller of feed processor.

The president however appealed to leaders to monitor government funds to reduce corruption
