Hundreds turn up for BBC drama auditions in Uganda

Hundreds of hopeful actors have today turned up at the National Theatre in Uganda to participate in the BBC Auditions of radio drama that BBC intends to run.

This comes after BBC put up an African Performance Playwriting competition in which the first, second and third prize were all won by Ugandan writers.

As a result, BBC has sent its production team to work on one production of the plays between 27th June, 2010 and 3rd July 2010 thus the need for ten actors seven of whom must be male actors and three female actors.

The people that will qualify to act in the drama will spend the next week between 27th June 2010 and 3rd July working with the BBC production team to work on the radio drama that will be aired on BBC World service.
