Uganda MP Ekanya hails government , denies joining NRM

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Member of Parliament for Tororo County Geoffrey Ekanya has hailed the Uganda government for commissioning the new Tororo in land port because it will help improve the livelihoods of the people of Eastern Uganda.

This comes days after it was reported in Uganda media recently that the Tororo county MP had crossed to the ruling NRM party headed by President Yoweri Museveni which he vehemently denied.

Ekanya has told journalists at Uganda Parliament port will create employment to the youths in Tororo and also improve the incomes of the business community which will improve on the people’s household incomes.

The youthful Tororo MP says allegations about him joining the ruling NRM party arose from the statement he made while Museveni was commissioning the Tororo inland port that he was willing to work with the government in developing Tororo County.
