Im happy about the implementation of that commission becoz their has been a very big gap been male,female and disabled .Men have been taking themselves superior over females and disabled now at least they have opportunities to take part in all aspects regardless of their sex,status among others

The commission is a welcome idea to institute an environment of equal opportunities and ensure that all Ugandans are presented with equal opportunities for survival without discrimnation. However we must take note that Section 15(6)(d) of the Equal Opportunities Act 2007 prohibits the commission from doing the very work it was orchestrated to do by stopping the commission from investigating any matters which are considered by the majority of the cultural groupings to be immoral or socially unacceptable. Of course people have always been discriminated by the majority who consider them unacceptable or immoral. So how does the commission intend to ensure equal opportunities and non discrimination when the act itself is discriminative in the first place?

equal opportunity commission has greatly worked for women. and in my own view, the women representatives in various organizations and in the parliament have played a great deal in advocating for their rights.However, persons with disabilities all over Uganda have failed for sure have failed. Especially in the employment sector. they are still observed has a misfortune by the society, the employers themselves and the initiators of the equal opportunity commission has a program are not doing any follow on the implementation at the grass root.
