The Stand up Comedians of the Mic Check show on NTV will on Friday 6th August and Saturday 7th August 2010 team up with one of Uganda’s oldest Drama group, the Ebonies to entertain revelers in show dubbed the “Comedians of Mic Check Vs the Legends of Drama (The Ebonies)” at Theatre Labonita.
The show that will begin at 7:00pm will require those interested in turning up for the show to part with 20,000 (twenty thousand shillings).
This group of comedians behind the Mic Check show is a product of the crackers which holds live shows at Effendys pub every Wednesday starting at 8:00pm and started and has been on Uganda’s comedy scene for barely a year at the moment.
Though relatively young the group of about ten comedians has grown to become a force to reckon with on Uganda’s comedy scene.
Two of their group members, Patrick Indringi the proprietor of the Crackers and Daniel Omara were the first and second runner up in last year’s competition of Stand up comedy dubbed Stand up Uganda by MNET.
