Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport hits one million passenger mark

Uganda civil aviation authority has passed a million passage marks and now plans to double the figure by next financial year.

In an exclusive interview, the public relations and communication manager Uganda civil
aviation authority Iginie Igundura says Uganda has now emerged as one of the major Air destinations in Africa.

Igundura said in 2010 they received 1 million passengers which he said was a record breaker. He further said several Airlines had applied to use the Uganda Air space. Among the latest applicant is the carter Airways.

Igundura says Uganda now receives 19 international Airline and many more are expected.
