Uganda demonstrators to be judged in military courts

Uganda is soon making a law to have people arrested during political related demonstrations charged in military court marital courts.

This is because the Uganda laws are so weak and they don’t punish the demonstrators. According to the meeting held yesterday at statehouse, it was resolved that putting demonstrators before court martial is the right way to go because regular courts just releases them whenever they are produced there.

The RDC for Wakiso Dan Kaguta, who is a brother to president Museveni (hope you hear even the name Kaguta) says that putting the suspected demonstrators before the court martial will reduce on demonstrations in the country.

He says ‘when the car knocks a person, person dies, a dog dies… Ugandans have to demonstrate so putting them before court martial is the only way to go.

Kaguta says that the prices of sugar, oil and food are high in Kenya , Rwanda and Tanzania among other countries but you can not hear people there engaging in demonstrations.’
