How to guard gum against bleeding

It is hard to believe that millions of people in Uganda and the world at large have bleeding gums.

Some people told our health tam that they brush their teeth and cleanse the mouth well but still their gums bleed. So in this news report we bring to you how you can guard your gum against bleeding.

You should brush your teeth gently with a soft-bristle toothbrush after every meal, rinsing with salty water or hydrogen peroxide and water.

Avoid using alcohol-containing mouthwashes because they aggravate the problem. Flossing teeth twice a day can prevent plaque from building up. Avoid snaking between meals, and reducing carbohydrates can also guard your gum against bleeding. Eating a balanced and healthy diet also works well.
