Hundreds of women suffer from polycystic discovers

 

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is one of the common female disorders in Uganda and Africa.

It is affecting about 10% of the women of reproductive age in Uganda, Zimbabwe and Senegal among other countries.

The symptom of polycystic ovarian syndrome and severity varies. It can be mild, moderate and severe. The women suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome face difficulties in producing children.

But not all the women with polycystic ovarian syndrome have difficulty in becoming pregnant.

Irregular periods can make getting pregnant more difficult. Some women experience a delay in pregnancy while others may need some form of fertility treatment when they desire to conceive.
