75 year man grabs policeman, accuses him of corruption

 

Recently the NTV broadcast news about a group of people of all ages and both sexes from Katakwi district in northern Uganda who were holding a peaceful demonstration at their district head offices.

They were all holding placards, with messages like; “WE NEED ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE DISTRICT MONEY”, “STOP USING DISTRICT CARS FOR YOUR PERSONAL BUSINESS”, “WHO IS SELLING OUR LAND?” and NRM officials should stop grabbing our land”etc.

The demonstrators exhibited so many discontentments on all their faces. They  narrated how they were tired of impassable roads, hospitals without medicines and doctors, they were tired of bad governance, injustices, employment on the basis of technical know who?

What surprised everyone was to see an old man aged about 75 years grabbing a policeman while accusing him of serving in an institution which is ranked among the top corrupt government departments in the Country. According to the Inspector General of Government office, the top corrupt institutions in Uganda are the courts of law, Uganda police, districts offices, UMEME and the public service commission among others.
