Why Muslims don’t play sex in the month of Ramadan?

Muslims across the globe are in a month long period of fasting to fulfill the third pillar of the Islamic faith.

The Muslim fasting is based on a special calendar (Lunar calendar) which starts when the thin crescent Moon is sighted in the sky after sunset.

The Muslim calendar is 11 to 15 days shorter than the known world solar calendar.

The Supreme Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Zubair Kayongo, says that the months of Ramadan Kareem (ninth months on Islamic calendar) is a period of repentance and full of blessings.

He says that Ramadan is a period of worship and contemplation. The reason behind Ramadan being the third pillar of Islam is that it is a fulcrum upon which the other four pillars of Islam are based: believing in one God (Allah), perform daily prayers five times daily, help the needy and perform Hajj.ry

During the month of Ramadan, Muslims are prohibited from eating or drinking during day time and engaging in sexual relations. Muslims are prohibited from playing sex in the month of Ramadan because it’s a holy month God gave to mankind.
