Kasese jubilates Winnie Kiiza’s victory

Jubilations are the order of the day across the towns and villages of Kasese district following the landslide victory of FDC’s Winnie Kiiza in Wednesday’s parliamentary victory.

The people of Kasese on Wednesday spoken through their votes by voting NRM candidate, Rehema Muhindo, sending a signal and a vote of no confidence in the ruling NRM party.

The Bakonjo (people of Kasese) demystified all tricks which had been used by NRM to silence the dissenting voices. Our informers passed near the NRM district office and it was locked whereas the people at the FDC offices in Kasese were busy jubilating. The jubilation was visible in towns and most shops were not opened they are still cerebrating and bars ran out of stocks.

The people of Kasese started cerebrating since Wednesday evening and persisted even on Thursday. Some voters said that they had undressed the wicked emperor (Museveni) and his chiefs and indeed one voter whispered that NRM’s Rehema Muhindo could go back to Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga and kiyonga employs her as a house girl.

The voter said that NRM’s Muhindo deserves to be a ‘house girl’ rather than the legislator. Winnie Kiiza won with 97659 votes and floored NRM’s Rehema Muhindo’s 59949 and DP’s Masika Rosemary tailed with 10000votes.
