World Human Rights Watch names Uganda most hostile nation

World Human Rights Watch (WHRW) has released a report naming president Kaguta Yoweri Museveni’s Uganda Government to be one of the most hostile and brutal Governments against Non Government Organisations (NGOs) in Africa.

The report indicates that president Museveni’s National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government is topping most hostile Governments in Africa against Non Government Organisations especially those criticizing Human Rights Abuses in Uganda and others who are critical on Uganda Oil deals (Corruption in Oil Contracts).

The report also strongly condemns the human rights abuses, oppression of opposition members, politically motivated arrests and imprisonment, corruption, voter bribery, ballot paper stuffing, land grabbing and discrimination at workplace basing on tribe, race, religion and political beliefs. The report was made public today.
