Kabwegyere tells Bududa landslide victims to eat monkeys in place of food

The landslides victims in Bududa district go without meals some days according to area local council leaders, MPs and opinion leaders.

The area local leadership told our informers in the area that the food stuffs the central government and non governmental organisations gave to them was not enough. The children of the people of Bududa are also malnourished due to poor feeding.

However the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social affairs, Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere recently told journalists that it is not the government’s responsibility to look after the landslides victims (read the people who were affected by land slides).

“If they can not feed themselves after receiving government’s assistance, let them eat monkeys and rats,” Kabwegyere, who is also former disaster minister says.
