Kabaka mourns Museveni’s father

 

The Kabaka (king) of Buganda, His Highness Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has expressed his condolences to the family of Amos Kaguta upon the death of Amos Kaguta, who has been the father of Uganda president, Gen. Yoweri Museveni.

Mzee Kaguta, passed on at International Hospital Kampala on Friday. Amos Kaguta was also father to Gen. Salim Saleh and grandfather to Museveni’s son Muhoozi.

He died at the age of 96 years after he fainted in the corridor of his house and he was admitted at International Hospital Kampala where he breathed his last on Friday morning.

The Kabaka conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family through his prime minister (Katikkiro), Eng. JB Walusimbi. The Kaguta family appreciated the Kabaka’s condolences upon the passing on of Amos Kaguta and thanked the Kabaka and Buganda kingdom for being with them in their profound grief at this difficult time when they have lost their dear father, friend, grandfather and family role model.
