How to handle nose bleeding

Today we bring to you how you may handle nose bleeding in babies (first aid). As soon as a nose bleed begins, have the child sit up while firmly exerting pressure on the nose by pinching the lower, soft part of the nose between the thumb and forefinger for about 10 minutes.
Alternatively wet a wad of cotton with hydrogen peroxide or petroleum jelly and pack it in the nose, leaving part of it outside.
Tell the child to breath through the mouth and discourage them from playing any rough games for a couple of hours.
It is discouraged to let the child lay down because this increase blood pressure in the head, therefore sending more blood to the nose and making nose bleed harder to stop. A side, blood may run down the child’s throat and may irritate the stomach, causing vomiting.
