The first Foreign Languages Conference 2014 (FLC 2014) in Africa has been organised by the Department of European and Oriental Languages (DEOL), School of Languages, Literature and Communication (SLLC), College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS) of Makerere University.
Conference will run under the theme: “Foreign Languages: Lessons from the past, Innovations for the Future.”
This an international and interdisciplinary conference that is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the introduction of foreign languages at Makerere University, and reflecting on their pedagogy, appraising their relevance in international cooperation, and analysing their role in regional integration and national development.
