First batch of local council ballot papers arrive

The electoral commission chairman Eng. Badru Kigundu confirms to the nation that the first batch of local council ballot papers will be arriving in the country today from UAE where they have been printed from. Kigundu says, first consignment of 361 ballots papers and the carrier is expected to land at Entebbe international airport at 4pm and the consignment contains ballots for district chairpersons, district directly elected councilors and sub-county women councilors.

He further cautions the public against giving out their national IDs to unknown persons saying the intension by the group that has started collecting IDs is not yet known.
