Kasubi vendors cry foul

Vendors in Kasubi market are accusing their leaders of conniving with Kampala city council authority to evict them from the market without getting them an alternative place where they can operate from. The vendors made the allegations during a meeting with the area MP Moses Kasibante and the mayor of Rubaga Nabossa Joyce Ssebugwawo.

The mayor Nabossa Sebugwawo says she advised the authorities at KCCA to consult the people on where they would need the market to be constructed but KCCA has kept a deaf ear. The area MP Moses Kasibante says they are not against expansion of the road but KCCA must use the money from the World Bank that was committed to redevelop Kasubi market, to construct an alternative market for these vendors before they are evicted.
