Maracha district Woman MP, Ayaka Rose Atima, has raised concern over the increasing number of young children taking alcohol.

Ayaka says that the situation has been worsened by companies which do open advertisements at trading centers especially upcountry where children gather and are given free alcohol sachets and they learn the habit of drinking.

Ayaka says that many children especially during public holidays celebrations leave their parents and go out in public places to consume alcohol advising   parents to guard against the vice.

Sachets of alcohol that are said to be sold to even children in most parts of the country.

She says that some beer sellers also continue to sell alcohol to children and that there is a need for the offenders to be checked and punished.
