Age limit MP Nsubuga dismisses claims he was chased away by voters

The Member of Parliament for Kasanda South in Mubende district, Simeo Nsubuga, has dismissed claims that he was chased out of his constituency by voters over his bid to lead a team advocating for the removal of Article 102(b) of the constitution  to do away with the age limit for the President.

Nsubuga was responding to allegations going on in public that is facing resistance over this matter.

He said that he spent most of his time over the week in the constituency and he did not face any protests, adding that all the accusations are being advanced against him by the opposition.

Nsubuga said that though the amendment is not in Parliament he has a freedom of speech to speak his mind and others have the right to tell the public what they think about the age limit removal from the constitution instead of condemning the group in support for this amendment.

He however, asked police to protect both side from being harmed because of their thinking over the presidential age limit issue.
