City socialite Brian white released on bail

Brian White and his co-acussed, Thomas Okoth, a crime intelligence officer, have been granted a sh10m cash bail each and their sureties sh20m not cash.

Makindye Chief Magistrate’s court has today released city socialite Brian Kirumira also known as Bryan White and his body guard on bail.

White and Thomas Okoth, a police officer attached to Kabalagala police are accused of attempting to kill a one Victor Bitwire, a resident of Buziga in Makindye division.

In his ruling, Makindye Chief Magistrate Erias Kakooza asked the city socialite to deposit his passport with court before being released on bail.

“You should not leave the country until the case is disposed off,”Kakooza said.

He asked each of the two accused to pay a cash bond of Shs 10 million and their sureties to pay a non cash bond of Shs 20 million each.

The case has been adjourned to January 31 for hearing to start.

The two were arrested late December and spent the Christmas holidays behind bars.
