Busoga caucus to take Lands Minister Namuganza to court

The Busoga parliamentary caucus has resolved to take to courts the minister of state for lands, Princess Persis Namuganza for what they have termed as her unbecoming conduct among other resolutions.

Namuganza who is also the Bukono county MP is accused of using a public rally at Ivukula sub-county in Namutumba district to peruse the speaker of parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, with stones and any blunt objects on sight in her constituency.

She is further alleged to have directed the same masses to pelt the Kyabazinga of Busoga, Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope William IV, with stones the moment he steps in Bukono County.

Namuganza’s threats to cause injury, harm and kill the two big officials in Busoga is said to have been caused by speaker Kadaga’s action when Kadaga installed one chief in Namuganza’s constituency  before she (Kadaga) could seek permission from her (Namuganza).

In a meeting between the members of parliament of the Busoga caucus, Namuganza was summoned to appear before the caucus to explain her utterances but the minister did not turned up.

In a meeting held by the legal counsel of the caucus also Bukooli county Mp, Gaster Mugoya, the mps explained that Namuganza’s conduct is not in consulate with her leadership positions and that all she said has started to cause war drums in the kingdom of Busoga.

Thirteen out of the 32 mps in this caucus who have appended their signatures to the resolution have banned Namuganza from carrying any of her activities in any Busoga region constituency apart from hers and is yet to face courts of law for threatening attacks and deaths to the fountain of honor in Busoga.
