Adam Smith Research Foundation Scholarships provides research in UK and Europe.

 

The Adam Smith Research Foundation has been established to promote and sustain research within the UK, European and international arenas.

The Foundation promotes the engagement of staff in key policy debates and in shaping policy for the future.

It provides the environment in which to foster further links between the Faculty’s disciplines and supports the development of interdisciplinary research both within and beyond the University.

The Foundation is offering one PhD Scholarship, covering full fees and maintenance (Home/EU or Overseas), within five research themes:

  • Legal & Political Thought
  • Macroeconomics, Business & Finance
  • People, Places & Change
  • Public Policy, Governance & Social Justice
  • Work, Ethics & Technology.

The PhD may be held in any of these Faculty’s Departments:

Accounting & Finance; Central & East European Studies; Centre for Drug Misuse Research; Economic & Social History; Economics; School of Law; Management; Politics; Sociology, Anthropology & Applied Social Sciences; Urban Studies.

Interested applicants should make initial contact with a department, stating they are applying for a ASRF Scholarship.

The closing date for applications is 11 May.
