Amuria gets ambulance donation from Canada

The Police in Canada have donated a state of the art Ambulance to residents of Ongutoi in abarilela sub county Amuria district.

The ambulance was donated courtesy of a Canadian businessman Don McLaughlin who offered the ambulance to state minister for disaster preparedness Musa Ecweru.

Ecweru however says the Ambulance will serve the entire Teso Region.

The area was the worst hit by LRAs invasion of eastern Uganda that saw the birth of the Arrow boys militia which fought alongside the UPDF to get rid of the Joseph Kony led rebels in Teso.
Ecweru was the head of the Arrow Boys.

The ambulance worth 400 million shillings is fitted with facilities that enable the medical attendants deliver a mother while the ambulance is in transit.
