A report released recently by the inspectorate of government (IGG) indicated increase in levels of mismanagement of government offices by stewards. President Yoweri Museveni will next week on Monday deliver the state of national address which will precede the reading of the national budget.

The executive director Anti-corruption coalition Uganda Sissy Kagaba says there are a number of reports on corruption cases that have not been dealt with for over the years.

Kagaba adds that it is time for the head of state to recommit himself by putting in action of statements he has several times spoke on dealing with corrupt officials in the country. She further says the president needs to come-up strongly on transparency and governance issues in his government.
