Lt. Col. Paddy Ankunda, the Uganda People Defence Forces (UPDF) spokesman has outlined the two main reasons why President Museveni deployed his army to troubled South Sudan of Salva Kiir.

Ankunda says it is President Salva Kiir Mayardit who requested President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for military support.

The army spokesman also says President Museveni deployed UPDF in South Sudan to get rid of South Sudan former Vice President Riek Machar. But Dr Machar was the Peace Mediator between Uganda and Kony dialogue that yield nothing. Dr Machar is a peace loving African but Museveni is seeing him as his political enemy.
